OPENING
AND
INTRO
Good Morning, Ladies and Gentlemen! May I have your attention please … as we are about to begin, please have a seat.

Ladies and Gentlemen, we are here today for The Storytelling Contest 2019!

My name is Karina and on behalf of Student Executive Board Faculty of Letters, I would like to welcome all of you to this contest. It is our privilege to have you with us today. We are now ready to begin the proceedings of the contest.

First, let me introduce to all of you the judges for this contest.
The first judge is Mr. James as our chief judge.
The second judge is Ms. Nathalie, Last but not least, the third judge is Mr. Mario.

Before I read the rules and regulation, lets listen to opening speech by Mr. James as our chief judge.

RULES
Before we start this contest, let me give a brief explanation of this contest.
  • STORY TELLING CONTEST TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1.      Registration fee for StoryTelling Contest Rp. 100,000.00 (One hundred thousand rupiahs).
2.      This contest is open for high school / vocational / equivalent levels.
3.      The duration of time for the Story Telling Contest is 5-7 minutes.
4.      Contest participants are individuals.
5.      Participants must re-register before the contest starts.
6.      Participants are required to wear neat and polite clothes.
7.      Participants are allowed to wear clothing or other additional attributes to support their appearance.
8.      The story script is duplicate in 3, and is accompanied by a photocopy of student card duplicate in 3.
9.      The story script and photocopy of the student card are submitted to the committee when re-registering.
10.  Participants must be present 30 minutes before the contest starts, or no later than 15 minutes before the start of the event.
11.  Participants must use English in the delivery of their stories.
12.  Assessment is based on Pronounciation, Intonation, Expression, and Performance.
13.  All participants will get a contest participation certificate.

  • PROVISIONS OF STORIES THAT WILL BE BROUGHT.

1.      The story must be about Kartini Day.
2.      Participants prepare 2 different story material for the Semi Final and Grand Final.

  • TECHNICAL IMPLEMENTATION

1.      Participants who have the turn to appear will be called 3 times.
2.      If the participant is not present after 3 summons, then the participant will be placed in the last position, and will be called back 3 times.
3.      If the participant is not present without any notice to the committee, then the participant is declared disqualified, and the registration money cannot be requested again.
4.      Sequence for calling contest participants based on the event section policy.

And last but not least, all the judges decisions are final, Ladies and gentlemen, as a kind reminder, please lower down your voices and ensure that your mobile phones are switch off or turn into silent mode as this is a formal event.

That’s all the contestants, they have delivered their stories. We are taking a short break to give our honorable judges' to calculate the marks.

All contestants and teachers can leave the hall. The organizing committee will provide food and drinks for all of you at the registration desk. You are given 40 minutes to refresh. Then can re-enter the hall.
